Huawei has registered a new trademark named “HarmonyOS Intelligent Owl”. The latest mark is for vehicles, especially with a steering wheel or any other equipment. It seems the OEM is working on a new solution for HarmonyOS-powered smart cars.

Inputs reveal that Huawei has applied for the “Owl Turn (Steering)” and “Hongmeng (HarmonyOS translated) Intelligent Owl trademark“.

These two logos are still under the substantive review pending status but might get approved in the future. Both these trademarks come under the transportation vehicles as well as scientific instruments.

Huawei will use these marks for car wheels, car turn signal devices, steering wheels, rearview mirrors, torque converters for land vehicles, self-driving cars, wheel balancers, chassis, and more.

Owl-turning technology isn’t a new term in Huawei Smart Car Solutions. The company has already used it for the AITO M9 launched last year in December.

The benefit of Owl Enhanced Steering tech in AITO M9 is that it doesn’t require rear space. It can turn in small steering in the same direction even at high speed.

Hence, the driving experience remains stable, reliable, and safer when one wants to switch between lanes or turn. The Owl Enhanced turning tech also promises a front-wheel turning angle of 41.75-degree which is more than other similar cars. For instance, BMW X7 xDrive40i, and Range Rover Grand Creation Edition.

With the next “HarmonyOS Intelligent Owl” technology, the company will likely upgrade the turning angles and make it even better for its automobile partners.
