Recently, Huawei received Thailand Prime Minister’s Award for Best Contribution to Talent Development. The Chinese tech maker received this honor from Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwina.

Li Xiongwei, General Manager of Huawei Thailand, accepted the medal at the award ceremony. Huawei received this award for its contribution to actively cultivating local digital talents and supporting the development of Thailand’s digital economy. To show its importance, Huawei is the only company to claim this award with its true effort.

“This honor reflects our commitment to support Thailand’s digital transformation and long-term contribution to Thai society, in line with our mission of ‘In Thailand for Thailand’ In the same vein. Huawei’s goal is to build a thriving digital talent ecosystem in Thailand and cultivate competitive talents for the country’s 5G, cloud computing, and green energy industries.” Xiongwei expressed gratitude.

It is estimated that Thailand will face a shortage of 500,000 digital talents by 2030. With urgent action on this matter, Huawei has launched several talent training programs in Thailand, including the Seeds of the Future project, ICT competition, and digital bus, and established the ASEAN Academy (Thailand).

It is also providing training, certification, job fairs, and more to encourage more young people to enter the technology industry. Also to bridge the gap between talent supply and demand in the ICT industry.

We congratulate Huawei for receiving Thailand Prime Minister’s award.
