Huawei real estate company is only for internal use: Statement

Today, Huawei published an official statement on the news of establishing a real estate company, saying that the firm is only for internal use and not for the industry. This new remark came after rumors surfaced that Huawei is now planning to enter the real-estate business.

In the statement, Huawei wrote, Dongguan Tangya Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. is mainly responsible for the construction and management of the park supporting talent housing functions for tens of thousands of Huawei employees and does not operate a real estate company.

This firm was established on August 3, 2023, and the company has registered 1.5 billion yuan. Its business scope includes housing leasing, non-residential real estate leasing, park management services, and engineering management services. Meanwhile, its investment is completely derived from Huawei holding.
