Huawei Pura 80 series is expected to bring significant design upgrades to the table. The company has given a new makeover to the P series with Pura brand this year. Now this makeover could reach another level with the upcoming Pura smartphones.

The Chinese OEM has just launched the Mate 70 series. But consumers are looking eager towards the company’s next creation – the Pura 80 series. Many Weibo tipsters already started sharing speculations about the Pura 80 key specs and features.

DirectorShiGuan says that the Huawei Pura 80 series will have a very special design. The tipster didn’t reveal any details about the phone’s appearance. Yet the statement is enough to hike consumers’ expectations for the next Pura flagship.

Further inputs reveal that the Pura 80 devices will likely launch by the end of May 2025. It could enter mass production after the Spring Festival, which is on January 29, 2025 (as per the Chinese Calendar). Though this input awaits official confirmation.

The tipster also mentioned that the Pura 80 series will use a more powerful Kirin chipset than its predecessor. It could be an enhanced version of Kirin 9020 with adjusted or overclocked cores to deliver improved performance efficiency.

Another point in the leak says that the Pura 80 series may feature an optical fingerprint scanner, just like the Pura 70. Huawei has skipped the in-display fingerprint solution for its Mate 70 series this year. Hence it is unclear if the company will use this tech for the upcoming flagship smartphones or not.
