Huawei Pura 80 series expected to score 1.2-1.3 million on AnTuTu
A Weibo tipster said that the Huawei Pura 80 series can score 1.2 to 1.3 million on AnTuTu. The current leak hints at the chipset details of the upcoming flagship to some extent. It also implies the device’s performance over its predecessors.
DirectorShiGuan recently mentioned that the Pura 80 series may adopt major design upgrades. It could also use a 5600mAh battery for a more durable experience.
At the same time, the tipster noted that the Huawei Pura 80 series could score 1.2 to 1.3 million on the AnTuTu benchmark. It seems the new flagship will likely offer more seamless and efficient performance than the previous-generation handsets.
The leak further implies that Pura 80 smartphones may use the Kirin 9020 chip.
Some tipsters earlier revealed that the Kirin 9020 achieved 1.25 million points on the benchmark. This score is within the predicted points range for the Pura 80 series. Hence, the upcoming lineup could bring the Kirin 9020 processor on board.
Huawei Kirin 9020
Kirin 9020 has a 12-core architecture. It brings two 2.5GHz large cores, six 1.8GHz medium cores, and four 1.55GHz small cores. It is coupled with the Maleoon 920 GPU and said to offer 40% improved performance than the Kirin 9010 SoC.
The new chip has undergone many tests to show its real performance. It’s of course, better than its predecessor but still lags compared to its foreign rivals. Yet, Kirin 9020 is proof of how Huawei is constantly taking steps in the Chinese chip industry.
A few tipsters also claimed that the Kirin 9020 is stronger than the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and draws level with the Dimensity 9200 chip. Thus, we can expect to see better and enhanced performance with the Huawei Pura 80 series.
Huawei hasn’t confirmed any of these details so far. Hence, let’s wait till the official unveiling of the Pura 80 devices and take this input with a grain of salt at present.
