Huawei Pura 70 Ultra’s ultra-wide camera is made by BYD: Tipster
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is packed with high-end specifications and while its main camera sensor is Sony IMX989, the ultra-wide angle lens seems to be provided by BYD Electronics. A recent piece of information has shed light on the subject.
BYD Electronics is a leading provider of hardware components for PCs, smartphones, and other devices. The firm counts as one of the prominent Huawei partners and has been supplying components to its devices like Mate 50, P60, and more for years.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus now states that the ultra-wide angle camera of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is made by BYD Electronics. The input says that the supplier has owned huge wide-angle lens orders from Huawei and works for Apple devices’ screens.
Last year, BYD was a vital supplier for the P60 series and Mate X3 frame. The company has also served back covers and screen panels for the Mate 50 Pro phones. In the latest edition, it seems the firm has supplied useful lenses to the Pura models.
Neither Huawei nor BYD has commented on this news so far. Hence it would be better to wait for some official statements before confirming this input.
The tipster further says that BYD aims to take a big step in the electronics market. As of this, it is constantly taking big orders from both Apple and Huawei. Meanwhile, the Chinese tech giant prefers supporting native firms rather than using foreign goods.
Pura 70 Ultra – Ultra-wide lens
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra uses the IMX 989 sensor 1-inch main camera lens for better light intake and capturing improved shots. On the other hand, the 40MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.2 aperture) ensures ultra-high-speed capturing of your favorite moments.
The lens offers a wider view and can easily reach infinity focus at both far and close distances, reducing the overall distortion that often converges vertical lines on the screen.
