Pura 70 phone holders may also find new multi-device collaboration tools like app continuation and app interconnection. You can read about them in detail HERE.
The beta build also supports HarmonyOS native apps. The device owners can access more upgraded native applications after installing the latest software build.
Other features of the latest beta firmware are unknown for now. Although Pura 70 users may experience better transition, UI tweaks, and privacy-based capabilities with the first HarmonyOS NEXT testing build. The changelog reads:
“…HarmonyOS NEXT adopts a new upgraded system architecture and optimizes the underlying experience of HarmonyOS in all scenarios. In this Beta, you will get a smart, smooth, safe, and convenient multi-device full-scenario experience.”
The new update is rolling out with the version NEXT.0.0.39. Ensure good enough storage space in your device as the firmware weighs 6.35GB. Note that the size may vary depending on the model. We also suggest a backup before installation.
As per the official community, the company has released the Pura 70 series HarmonyOS NEXT beta only to developers. The early adopters still await the new firmware. However, Huawei may expand the beta reach to more users in the coming days.
Update Notes:
- Due to changes in the system architecture, some applications may be incompatible and some data may not be inherited or saved after the update.
- Take a backup of your device to avoid data loss. For third-party apps, it is recommended to use the app’s own backup feature to migrate and backup data.
- After the update, the system will perform a series of optimization actions in the background to improve the user experience. You may experience overheating, battery drainage, and other issues. Don’t panic as these are normal and may get resolved within a few days.
- You can contact to Huawei Consumer helpline if the issues persist.
