Huawei Pura 70 series gets HarmonyOS 4.2.0.156 with camera optimizations
Huawei Pura 70 series is now fetching another major update this month with the HarmonyOS 4.2.0.156 version. The firmware is mainly arriving for the standard and the Pro models of the flagship lineup with a bunch of camera optimizations.
Pura 70 series stepped into the real world last month via the Pioneer plan and received a booming welcome from consumers. Meanwhile, the tech giant continues to serve new enhancements to the ultimate handsets for more efficient performance.
The Chinese OEM is rolling out the HarmonyOS 4.2.0.156 update for the Huawei Pura 70 series with a package size of 0.95GB. Yet the software weight may vary depending on the model. Note that this update is reaching the base and Pro versions.
HarmonyOS 4.2.0.156 update comprises two parts. The first one looks after the camera performance while the other one mends video playback in some scenarios.
With this firmware, the company has enhanced the night shooting tools for a better photography level under low light conditions. It also refines the shooting quality of the camera when used for some third-party applications and amplifies its stability.
You can check the complete changelog below:
Camera:
- Improves the quality of photos when shooting portraits, and landscapes, in low light, as well as with long focus.

The update is rolling out in batches and will gradually reach the Pura 70 series users in China. By that time, you can sneak into the system settings to carry out the manual installation. But ensure to keep sufficient storage and battery backup beforehand.
