Huawei Pura 70 Satellite SMS Edition has some new features over the original version and one of them is the Kirin 9010E chip. Unlike the base model which runs on 9000S1, the latest smartphone edition accompanies a distinct and powerful chipset.

Pura 70 Satellite SMS Edition is available on sale. After purchasing, a few users reported that the device runs on Kirin 9010E. The overall core arrangement is quite different from the 9000S1 found in the standard Pura 70 smartphone.

The new chip might look like a derivative of the chip used for the Pura 70 Ultra. But to our surprise, the 9010E’s CPU structure slightly differs from the 9010 as well.

The mobile information app shows that the Huawei Pura 70 Satellite SMS Edition uses a new Kirin 9010E with 12-core architecture (8 cores, 12 threads). It consists of two 2.19GHz large cores, six 2.18GHz medium, and four 1.55GHz small cores.

Compared to the original 9010 chip, the Kirin 9010E’s CPU super core frequency is 111MHz lower. It has Huawei’s self-developed Maleoon 910 750MHz GPU and offers the same graphical performance as other Kirin 9-powered devices.

Overall, the Huawei Pura 70 Satellite SMS Edition will be inferior to the Ultra model but better than the regular version. Not only in high-end features but the newly launched smartphone will also pace ahead in terms of performance.

Nova 12 Ultra Star Edition contains the Kirin 9010L chip, a derivative of the Kirin 9010. Though it has a slightly lowered core alignment, especially for the small cores.

The exact difference between all three chips will be clear after users start operating the device. Yet these new chip introduction hints that Huawei is pushing its limits to make better and upgraded processors for its devices.
