Huawei Pura 70 Pro+/Ultra gets AI Image Expand feature via new update

Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ and Ultra variants are receiving a new update that unlocks more AI image features in the Gallery. As of now, the corresponding device owners will experience a useful way to edit their photos and make them more impressive.

The update changelog reveals that Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ and Ultra are getting a new “AI Image Expand” feature. This tool will likely appear in the AI retouch section.

From the name, the feature will recognize the image’s structure, based on the AI composition algorithm. It further uses photo generation tech to suggest appropriate image expansion ratio and area as well as fulfill the missing parts in the picture.

Users will get a wider view of the image without compromising the picture quality. Another add-on to the update is gaming optimizations. The company has improved the user experience for some games to deliver robust performance to users.

Pura 70 Pro+ and Ultra models are receiving the new enhancements with the HarmonyOS 4.2.0.172 version. The phone holders need to download a software package of 647 Megabytes to check on the latest offerings of the firmware.

Gallery:

• Adds the Expand feature to AI retouch in Gallery, which analyzes the content and structure of images, optimizes their proportions, as well as fills in missing sections, to provide a better and more expansive viewing experience.

Note that this feature is compatible with the high-end Pura 70 models. However, the standard and the Pro version don’t support this capability at this moment. But the company might add some significant changes for the other two variants as well.
