Huawei Pura 70 Pro starts receiving AI Image Expand feature update

After the Pura 70 Pro+ and Ultra models, Huawei is rolling out the AI Image Expand feature to Pura 70 Pro users. The company has released an update for the respective model which installs new improvements as well as the most-awaited AI image tool.

The feature was only available to the high-end Pura 70 models. Although last week, Huawei confirmed that the AI Image Expand tool will soon reach other variants.

It’s good to see that the company didn’t take much time to bring the new AI Image Expand feature to the Huawei Pura 70 Pro users. Perhaps, we can expect the same software update treatment for the standard Pura 70 version in the coming days.

Huawei Pura 70 Pro is receiving the new AI image enlargement feature with the HarmonyOS 4.2.0.172 version. It further bears a software package of 315 Megabytes.

The changelog shows the presence of the new AI Image Expand feature in the Gallery. It also brings enhancements to certain system applications of the smartphone.

AI Image Expand feature mainly works on enlarging the image from its original size. It identifies the image content using AI image generation as well as analytical algorithms. Based on the details, the tool suggests the best area and ratio expansion.

When enabled, the feature results in an enlarged picture with a smoother finish, without affecting the image quality. This feature is gradually rolling out to Pura 70 Pro users in China. Users can look for the new firmware in the update section of the device.
