Huawei Pocket 2 foldable confirms to feature Kirin 9000s chipset
Online surfing news confirms that the Huawei Pocket 2 equips the Kirin 9000s chipset and becomes the first small vertical foldable with 5G network capabilities. This is the same chip used for the Mate 60 series and the Mate X5 folding handset.
During the Pocket 2 launch event, Huawei shed light on several amazing features and functionalities packed in the new flip-flop model. The list begins with the stylish design and counts to the satellite SMS capability and quad-camera setup.
However, the company has not detailed the chip information for the Huawei Pocket 2. Yet, some Weibo bloggers had their hands on the device and explored every segment including the processor and other internal configurations.
According to @WHYLAB, the Huawei Pocket 2 foldable runs on the same Kirin 9000s chipset, which resides in the Mate 60 series. Besides, the processor is paired with the Maleoon 910 750MHz GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).
The tipster further showcased the CPU infrastructure:
- 1 x 2.62GHz cores + 3 x 2.15GHz cores + 4 x 1.53GHz Cortex A510 small cores
Perhaps, the new folding gadget can deliver a tech-pack performance boost to consumers. Moreover, it will provide efficient game functioning to game lovers and impressive visual rendering. Thus, the device is a package of art and technology.
Earlier, a few reports predicted that Huawei has a bunch of models that will feature the Kirin 9000s chipsets. Also, the company began working on new processors and some overclocked variants that we may find in the upcoming devices.
Huawei Pocket 2 foldable qualified for a 2-meter IPX8 water resistance rating for the first time. It further installs a 3D cooling system which increases the thermal conductivity area by 80%. Meanwhile, it is the first foldable to carry useful camera specifications with AI facilities.
