William Xu, President of Huawei’s Institute of Institute of Strategic Research said that Huawei will spend over $300 million a year in research funding for universities, reported Reuters.
Huawei was included in the US Entity-List in May to bar the company from using US technologies and expected to affect its business.
Earlier this year a few of the institute cut ties with Huawei only for alleged violations but Xu remains positive and sad that Huawei would allocate funding to institutions where the company is still welcomed.
