Huawei Petal Payment trademark registered
In the past two years, Huawei has ramped up efforts to launch new Petal-named apps, which cover different aspects of smartphone services. Recently, Huawei registered a new “Petal Payment” trademark, which was filed officially in December last year. Currently, the trademark status is pending and it’s yet to be approved.
According to the trademark details, the Huawei Petal Payment system includes real estate management, Debit card payment processing, insurance information, electronic transfers, online banking, credit card payment processing, currency exchange, e-wallet payment services, capital investment, providing discounts to others at participating institutions through the use of membership cards.
It’s recently reported that Huawei Pay, Huawei’s official payment system in China has crossed over 100 million monthly active users. Huawei’s cloud payment system president 0 Ma Chuanyong recently said that the company is not trying to compete against Alipay or WeChat because Huawei has a big partnership with them.
Huawei Pay is a digital wallet system that helps consumers to pay using different types of services such as tap to pay for instant money transfers.
Petal Apps:
Huawei currently owns multiple Petal-related applications such as – Petal Maps, Petal Search, Petal Clip, and more. There are various other apps that are still pending launch soon for Huawei smartphones.
