Huawei Petal Clip app adds HDR Vivid video editing
Earlier this week, Huawei released Mate 50 series which comes with excellent camera technologies along with excellent software support. The lineup also supports HDR Vivid video recording and recently, the Huawei Petal Clip app has also added the support for this video format into its support library.
Recently, Petal Clip has added support for HDR Vivid video format, which will allow the Huawei Mate 50 series users to edit and create this file format videos right away.
What is HDR Vivid:
HDR Vivid delivers highly-accurate dynamic range mapping for display devices, by adding dynamic metadata, maximizing the original effects from HDR sources.
AI powered features:
Shooting backgrounds with different styles are also an important part of personalized short videos. The newly launched portrait cutout feature of Petal Clip can accurately identify single or multiple portraits in the video with one click, and change the shooting scene in seconds.
Without the need to modify frame by frame, the editing effect of quickly segmenting portraits and objects is achieved, so that the main character of the video is no longer limited to the lens, but leaps out of the canvas.
“Dubbing is the soul of a movie”, beautiful subtitles and dubbing can greatly enhance the appeal and expressiveness of the video. The text reading feature of Petal Clip can automatically convert subtitle text into voice, conducting AI simulation of real voice, support a variety of timbre choices such as friendly female voice, sunny male voice, cute child voice, etc., and provide a “professional dubbing team” for short video creation.
As Huawei’s official video editing software, Petal Clip supports HDR Vivid high-dynamic video technology for the first time, and the image texture and editing experience are completely upgraded. In the future, more AI gameplay will be brought to users, so stay tuned.
HDR and SDR:
That’s not it, Huawei has also added support for HDR and SDR format hybrid editing support. Users can import these files format directly into the editor to begin the editing.
HDR videos show higher contrast with more colors than standard digital video. Viewers can watch HDR videos on compatible mobile devices.
On the other hand, SDR, or Standard Dynamic Range, is the current standard for video and cinema displays. Unfortunately, it is limited by its ability to only represent a fraction of the dynamic range that HDR is capable of.
So, there you have it, the latest version of the Petal Clip will be available to download from AppGallery.
