Huawei patents for radio frequency chip to use in wireless technology
Amid US sanctions, Huawei’s 5G chips aren’t able to activate 5G access that’s why the company is launching 4G phones. However, the reason behind this is the lack of core components including a 5G radio frequency (RF) chip. In the latest development, Huawei has published a patent related to radio frequency chip.
According to the information, Huawei patents for radio frequency chip, baseband chip, and WLAN equipment to use in wireless technology in China. However, this patent was published with announcement number CN114124113A on March 1, 2022.
Aside from this, the Chinese tech maker has secured various patents mainly for wireless charging such as wirelessly charging smart eyewear, wireless charging packing space, and more.
The patent document discloses the details about the Huawei radio frequency chip. So, let’s explore the chip architecture and how its works.
The chip includes at least two signal generation circuits, at least three radio frequency transceiver circuits, and at least three intermediate frequency transceiver circuits. In addition to this, it also required at least two signal generation circuits including a first signal generation circuit and a second signal generation circuit.
Both the first signal generation circuit and the second signal generation circuit are used to generate a radio frequency local oscillator signal. It provides the generated radio frequency local oscillator signal to the radio frequency transceiver circuit, and the radio frequency local oscillator signals generated by the two belong to different frequency bands.
Anyone RF transceiver circuit only receives the RF local oscillator signal from one signal generating circuit at the same time. The radio frequency transceiver circuit is used to convert the received radio frequency signal into an intermediate frequency signal based on the received radio frequency local oscillator signal.
Then, it sends the obtained intermediate frequency signal to the corresponding intermediate frequency transceiver circuit or converts the intermediate frequency signal from the corresponding intermediate frequency transceiver circuit. Convert to RF signal and output the resulting RF signal.
