Huawei has filed a new patent for a fireproof energy storage system. The company is planning to develop a method of storage technology that can enhance the safety aspects and avoid explosive accidents under high temperatures or other conditions.

The Chinese tech giant has introduced several data and energy storage products for its enterprise customers. A storage system enables users to power up equipment with sustainable and reliable energy. It also provides a significant performance boost.

But often these energy storage systems are prone to some risk factors. One such danger is explosions that cause huge damage to both consumers and environment.

It seems the Chinese OEM is working on an effective solution for this issue. Huawei applied for a patent regarding a fireproof energy storage system to prevent accidents. The application is now authorized and the tech giant could soon begin work on it.

Energy Storage System and Control Method Thereof – Patent

The components for the fireproof energy storage system require a box, an energy storage device, and a safety control system. This safety box plays a main role in the energy storage system. It uses a compact sensor that detects combustible gases.

It is further responsible to set off these gases from the storage system. There is also a control device that sends and receives information about the entire situation through the sensors and instructs to manage the ventilation work accordingly.

As soon as the sensor detects gases, it instantly releases them using the ventilation slab. Thus, it reduces the risk of fire-based accidents, making the energy storage system more effective. The storage system will take these measures before a fire occurs, for safety purposes.
