Huawei patent for under-screen fingerprint technology that increases accuracy and faster response

Today, Huawei has published a new patent for under-screen fingerprint technology with a publication number CN112487845A. Back in 2019, Huawei has applied for this patent in China.

The patent synopsis discloses a method for displaying fingerprint prompt patterns and unlocking devices under the screen. This under-screen fingerprint solution is used to display the fingerprint prompt pattern because multiple fingerprint prompt patterns are displayed in turn. Also, the display positions of the multiple fingerprint patterns in the fingerprint prompt area are not completely overlapped.

Therefore, when displaying the fingerprint prompt pattern, it is avoided that the display device displaying the fingerprint prompt pattern is always in the lighted state. So, the method for displaying the fingerprint prompt pattern provided in this application is beneficial to increase the service life of the display device in the fingerprint prompt area.

This new patent also aims to increase the response time of reading the fingerprint and with improved accuracy as well as reducing the power consumption of the whole system.

Aside from this, recently, Huawei has also released the patent for the foldable electronic model and folding screen installation structure. This innovation model will not produce mold prints or convex hulls on the surface of the foldable screen during use.
