Huawei patent for powertrain and electric vehicle technologies
On April 14, 2020, Huawei has applied for a new patent for a powertrain and electric vehicle. The patent was published on February 12, 2021, with publication number CN212529295U in China.
According to the information, the description shows that the power assembly includes a motor controller, including a housing, and a first functional unit that is arranged in the housing and capable of generating heat during operation and heat exchanger.
The heat exchanger is placed in the housing, which includes a first circulation channel of the cooling medium and the second circulation channel for circulating the second cooling medium, wherein the first circulation channel has a first external cooling surface, and connected to the first functional unit at the first external cooling surface Heat conduction is realized.
The first circulation channel has a second external cooling surface and heat conduction with the inner surface of the housing at the second external cooling surface. The powertrain and electric vehicle provided by this application can make full use of the external cooling surface of the heat exchanger.
Advantages:
- Improve the utilization efficiency of the heat exchanger
- Improve the heat dissipation of the motor controller
- More compact structure
- Low space consumption
Additionally, the document also highlights Huawei’s long-standing “no-car” position but focuses on ICT technology to help automakers build good cars and become intelligent networked cars as well as incremental component providers.
“Huawei does not build cars but helps automobile companies build good cars,” says Huawei’s rotating chairman Xu Zhijun (publically)
According to the previous information, Huawei’s aim behind this to help the traditional manufactures to develop better products using the latest Huawei technologies.
