Huawei patent for motion planning technology in field of autonomous driving

On December 17, Huawei has published a new patent for motion planning in the field of autonomous driving. As per the China Intellectual Property database, this patent was submitted on May 29, 2020, and is now announced with the number CN1138055724 in China.

Huawei new patent description discloses that it provides a method and tool for motion planning for autonomous vehicles that help in flexible responding to dynamic obstacles. The process includes:

• Receive driving environment information including information on the location of dynamic obstacles
• Input the state representation of the driving environment information into the trained reinforcement learning network model to obtain the time domain output predicted by the reinforcement learning network model.
• The prediction time domain represents the length of time, or the number of steps, to predict the motion trajectory. dynamic barrier
• Use the prediction time domain for motion planning.

According to the information, this patent forecast is achieved through time-domain reinforcement learning, which can be dynamically changed with changes in the driving environment.
