Huawei P70 series development begins, features high frequency screen
Since the release of the Huawei Mate 60 series, Huawei has continuously increased its influence in smartphone shipments. The company also planned to renew its next-generation flagship strategy with the upcoming Huawei P70 series as its development has reportedly begun.
Information from a tipster reveals that Huawei P70 will be the biggest domestically produced flagship smartphone. It means, most of the parts will be produced by the Chinese supply chain.
The tipster further shares that the Huawei P70 will equip a new customized high-frequency eye protection panel. The use of high-frequency PWM dimming comes into effect for super high-quality flicker-free eye protection.
This year, Honor unveiled the Honor 90 Series with a 3840Hz super-high frequency display. It’s by far the highest PWM dimming in any smartphone. On the other hand, Huawei’s latest Mate 60 Pro features a 1440Hz PWM dimming. Therefore, we will have to see what kind of improvements Huawei brings to the PWM frequency with its new smartphone panel.
Camera:
There’s some information that the Huawei P70 will equip a powerful main camera with a large aperture. This led us to a past report, which indicates that Huawei is working on its own version of the CMOS sensor.
Also, the company has signed no new deal with Sony, the leading CMOS sensor seller for flagship and other devices. This could be considered another big step toward producing this camera component in China rather than purchasing it from a foreign company.
Supply Chain:
With a huge demand for Huawei Mate 60 Pro and the lack of supply chain support, the Chinese tech maker has already started placing large component orders for the next P-series smartphone. This would help the company to produce enough devices to fulfill market demand and reduce issues such as short supplies.
