A new leak for the Huawei P70 series says the flagship lineup will likely pre-install a new HarmonyOS 4.2 version. The company may introduce useful features, significant improvements, and other enhancements with the alleged software upgrade.

Although new leaks and rumors continue to add spice to this subject. The latest one shared by @FixedFocus suggests that the Huawei P70 series pre-installs alleged HarmonyOS 4.2. Users may witness new additions to the software segment as well.
Even though it is unclear what the new software version will bring to the table. Yet, consumers could find enhanced and improved functionalities with this addition.
Huawei is currently up with a new HarmonyOS beta testing version for some top-end models in the family. The new upgrade enriches the user interface, and device system elements like global search, and WLAN network, adds optimized device cloud mechanism to security, and more. HarmonyOS NEXT?
It seems uncertain that Huawei could introduce the stable HarmonyOS NEXT with the P70 series. At the onset of this year, Huawei brought the respective OS into existence and rolled out the developer preview. Although we may find its stable version with the Mate 70 series later this year.
P70 series may appear directly on sale
While many of us are looking to have a glance at the P70 models via a grand launch event, the company might skip this part and directly put the respective handsets on the sale shelves. This falls under the Pioneer Project where one can buy the retail product in advance, ahead of its official launch.
Huawei store staff recently reported that customers can opt for the blind reservation process and book the device without paying a deposit. Apart from this info, the staff unit remains uninformed regarding the design and other details of the flagship.
