Huawei P70 series could feature 100mm periscope lens with 4x zoom capabilities

Huawei P70 series is likely to feature a 100mm periscope lens with even better zoom capabilities, says a new leak. The company is constantly testing the latest technologies to boost the photography experience in every manner for its customers.

Tipster @DigitalChatStation recently said that Huawei has tested an advanced 100mm periscope lens for the P70 series. This is surprising news as users will be getting 4x zoom capabilities. Hence, there won’t be any compromise in capturing detailed shots.

Adding more excitement to this piece, the tipster mentioned that Huawei is having new solutions for the P70 series camera module. However, it’s unclear what exactly the company is planning for the flagship P70 series. Yet, these changes will significantly improve the image quality.

Earlier, we reported that the Chinese phone maker is working on a 1-inch large sensor with a 1G6P hybrid lens and an Omnivision OV50H sensor for the P70 smartphones. These will serve the following functions:

• 1-inch large IMX 989 Sensor – Uses Octa-PD phase-detection far faster autofocus capabilities and Quad Bayer color filter array for reducing noise as well as improving light sensitivity.
• Omnivision OV50H – A 50MP image sensor with a high-end mechanism that offers enhanced shots with maximum light intake
• Hybrid Lens – Optimizes the image with higher quality, sharp pixels, and less chromatic aberration.

100mm Periscope Lens

Now we are hearing about a new addition – a 100mm 4x periscope lens. This lens is considered to carry a wide F 2.5 aperture for low-light shooting. It will ultimately enhance macro photography and offer clearer close-up shots without blurry effects or extreme crisps in the image.

Huawei P60 Pro Ultra Lighting Periscope:

Talking about the predecessor, the P60 Pro handset has a 48MP periscope lens which makes the device ideal for long-distance shots. It takes more than 178% more light from its ancestors to flash rich details in the captured image.

Moreover, the lens can offer 3.5x optical, 10x digital, and 100x hybrid zoom. On the other hand, the overall zoom range is around 200x which provides a dynamic image outcome with the help of the Huawei XD optics algorithm. Thus, you can easily click ultra night shots.

The capabilities aren’t limited here. Huawei P60 Pro bears new OIS functions that enhance the blur effect in zoom pictures using the advanced anti-shake sensor rotation.
