Huawei P60 series camera sensors to generate powerful capabilities

Huawei P60 series will come with a powerful camera system and it’ll lead throughout the smartphone division with brand-new camera sensors to enhance the mobile photography experience.

Weibot tipster DigitalChatStation reveals that the Huawei P60 series will come with Sony IMX888 main camera. While it’s expected to be the first among others to bring this new camera sensor to the market.

Past information reveals that the main camera will have the capability of variable aperture. So, there will be a second sensor in work, which is IMX789. It will provide a large f/1.4 aperture stop to bring in the highest possible light intake.

It will also have a 50-megapixel IMX 858 ultra wide-angle camera to capture all of your subjects into one photograph, so you won’t miss any of them. However, we are expecting slight improvements with the P60 series as compared to the P50 lineup.

On the other hand, there’s an OV64B telephoto camera that supports 3.5x optical zoom. To be mentioned, an OV64B image sensor is used with a 64-megapixel (MP) camera. It has a 0.7-micron pixel size and a 1/2” optical format.

Testing model:

The tipster revealed that the specifications from the Huawei P60 series testing model are the same as the final product. However, the pixel counts and image rendering could be different once the camera system is finalized.

Camera:

Similar to the past flagship devices, these features and camera specifications could post the P60 series above all. Looking at past leaks, the Huawei P60 series cover reveals a new camera design that is different from its predecessor.

It is a rectangular camera bump with a large circle in the center, it also has various openings for secondary lenses. From the appearance, the camera system of the Huawei P60 series is promising a powerful performance but we’ll have to wait to know more on this matter.

For now, Huawei has not revealed official details about the launch date but a past report reveals that the Huawei P60 series could unveil in the first quarter of 2023, somewhere in March.
