Huawei P60 and Mate 60 series launch next year: Tipster
Yes, Huawei could launch the P60 and Mate 60 series next year. The latest input is coming from a well-known Weibo tipster – Classmateguan, which shows that the company will be returning to the dual flagship launch tradition in 2023.
According to the information, the company may launch Huawei P60 series in the first half of 2023 around March-April. On the other hand, the Huawei Mate 60 series will debut in the second half of the year around September-October.
If happens, the launch of the Huawei P60 and Mate 60 series would be a huge gesture from Huawei to make a return in the smartphone market and increase its presence, which has been reduced over the past two years.
Currently, the plan of launching the Huawei P60 and Mate 60 series together is under consideration. Therefore, it remains unconfirmed whether the plan will be implemented next year.
On the other hand, the news remained unconfirmed via official sources but we’re surely not in hurry to confirm it. Furthermore, the tipster has not revealed any specific details or the specification of each device.
Past issues:
In 2021, Huawei launched only one traditional flaghip smartphone – the P50 series and for the first, it is forced to break the tradition of announcing two flagships together. Then, the company continued to focus on other consumer-based products as well as the software side such as HarmonyOS. In the meantime, Huawei has also introduced various new smart wearable devices and as well as smart car technologies.
What was the issue?
Since the U.S. entity list in 2019, Huawei was facing extreme supply chain issues to gather important smartphone components. These lead to low smartphone manufacturing and reduced smartphone launches. The effect has been seen on the flagship part as well, and the company has to temporarily halt the dual flaghip launch strategy.
The tipster also relates that the latest P60 and Mate 60 release could be possible after the Chinese tech maker has resolved most of its supply chain issues.
Yet, currently, Huawei is reportedly preparing to unveil the Mate 50 series on September 7 and bring new camera technologies – the XMAGE camera as well as the new powerful hardware.
