Huawei P50 to launch with Kirin 9000, Samsung and OLED LG displays

In October, Huawei launched its latest flagship, the Huawei Mate 40, which comes with new cameras, better display, improved design, and a new 5nm Kirin 9000 processor that’s 5G enabled.

Reports suggest that Huawei has started to prepare for the next P-series smartphone, Huawei P50 that is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2021.

According to TheElec, the Huawei P50 series will launch with OLED displays, supplied by Samsung Display and LG Display, and already started the panel production.

The source also predicts that the Huawei P50 series will also use the 5nm Kirin 9000 processor. Aside from P50, the report also mentioned that currently, there’s no confirmation regarding the production of the Mate 50 series.

Previous information reveals that Huawei has short supplies of the flagship, Kirin 9000 series and it wants to save for flagship smartphones. Furthermore, some other sources speculate that the company may get a processor from Qualcomm for the P50 devices but there’s no certain evidence since it has only obtained a license to sell 4G mobile chipsets to Huawei.
