Huawei P50 Pro smartphone users are receiving the July 2024 update in the global market. After treating the device with a major EMUI upgrade, the company is now rolling out the latest security improvements for the three-year-old flagship handset.
With the onset of this month, Huawei released the EMUI 14.2 upgrade for the P50 Pro devices. The software unlocked personalized features as well as new improvements. Users can give a new look to the phone’s screen with Magazine/Interactive themes.
The changelog also counts creative tools like Live View and SuperHub to ease daily operations. Users will also observe stable performance and smoother animations.
After the huge feature list, Huawei P50 Pro users are now collecting the latest security improvements with the July 2024 update. The firmware is tagged with the EMUI 14.2.0.144 version and a downloadable package size of 380 Megabytes.
July 2024 update contains new security patches released this month. As per the official details, this patch fixes a total of 6 systems and 28 third-party vulnerabilities.
Thus, P50 Pro device holders may get rid of anonymous system glitches and bugs that might have ruined the user experience. You should download this firmware as soon as it reaches your device. One can also try manual installation via the device’s update section.

EMUI 14.2 update distribution is progressing gradually. The company has served the new build to most of the flagship phones. However, the standard variants like Mate 50, P50, as well as Nova 11, are still waiting for the new software offering.
With the ongoing developments, it seems Huawei won’t take much time to roll out the major update to the left-out eligible devices. But if other expected models will get EMUI 14.2 in the future, is still not confirmed.
