Huawei P50 Pro receiving April 2022 HarmonyOS security update
Wow! Huawei has finally started to roll out the latest April 2022 HarmonyOS security update and the first device to install this patch is the flagship – P50 Pro. This update is rolling out in China as HarmonyOS is limited to the home ground.
According to the information, Huawei P50 Pro April 2022 software update is rolling out with the HarmonyOS build version 2.0.0.246. Therefore, the corresponding device owners need their smartphones running on HM OS version 2.0.0.245.
The installation of the latest security update boosted the system security and privacy by different levels of exploits and issues found in the latest HarmonyOS version. It also enhances the overall device performance.
On the other hand, the early vibes of HarmonyOS 3.0 have started circulating through online platforms. It was reported that the HM OS 3.0 beta testing will start somewhere in May followed by a stable release in September.
So, there is a possibility that the Huawei P50 Pro will get the tickets in the first batch to test and install the HarmonyOS 3.0 in the Chinese market. In the meantime, focus on the latest HarmonyOS update for a better user experience.
What’s New:
The April 2022 HarmonyOS security patch brings fixes for 28 CVEs for better system security. Among them, there are 19 high and 9 medium levels of CVEs, and no critical as well as low levels of CVE were encountered in the latest HM OS version.
How to update:
Through Settings, open the phone’s settings, tap on system & updates, tap on software updates, and followed by CHECK FOR UPDATES. Once the new update is found, tap on the download and install option.
Through My Huawei app, Go to My Huawei app, tap on the support section, and from here, click on the updates icon. Now, you will be redirected to the update page, tap on download and install.
