Huawei P50 Pocket global launch to happen in early 2022

Recently, Huawei unveiled its foldable smartphone – P50 Pocket. The phone uses a clamshell design and a new hinge system that provides a fresh user experience. However, the phone will be sold only in China at the moment and there’s no official confirmation is available on this matter. However, we’ve got some information that will give you some useful insights.

According to our information, Huawei P50 Pocket will launch in the global market in early 2022. However, a region-specific date or announcement is yet to come. It is also possible that Huawei may bring this phone early to some European markets but nothing is certain at the moment.

The phone is likely to retain all of its characteristics and design specs in the Huawei P50 Pocket global model will launch similar to the Chinese variant.

Huawei P50 Pocket Specifications:

Huawei P50 features a 6.9-inch main display that folds inward. While there’s a cover display that measures 1.04-inch and allows you to view quick notifications, viewfinder, and it has a library of dials that you can customize.

The phone has the main OLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300 Hz touch sampling rate. On the other hand, the cover display is also made of OLED and features a 60Hz refresh rate along with a 120Hz of touch sampling rate.

In terms of quality, the main panel provides an FHD+ resolution (2790 x 1188 pixels) and 442 PPI. On the other side, the cover screen has 340 x 340 pixels and 328 PPI.

Huawei P50 Pocket is powered by Snapdragon 888 4G chipset with octa-core architecture (1 x Cortex-X1 at 2.84 GHz + 3 x Cortex-A78 at 2.42 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz) as well as Adreno 660 GPU.

Even after being a foldable phone, the P50 Pocket packs with a revolutionary camera system including a 40 MP True-Chroma Camera (f/1.8 aperture), 13 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera (f/2.2 aperture), and a 32 MP Ultra Spectrum Camera (f/1.8 aperture). There’s a 10.7 MP selfie camera that you can use to take great selfies.

Don’t think that Huawei P50 Pocket will leave you behind in terms of battery life, the phone will pick up a 4000mAh battery and you can super charge it with a 40W charger. The Chinese version of the phone runs HarmonyOS and the global version on EMUI 12.
