[Expanding] Huawei P40 series on EMUI 10.1 begin receiving October 2020 security update

October 2020 security update now expanding for the Huawei P40 series in Europe with EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.182 with an update package size of 221MB.

Huawei is testing the EMUI 11 beta on the Huawei P40 series and the company will soon release the public beta for these devices. On the other hand, P40 series users who stayed on EMUI 10.1 now receiving a new software update with the latest improvements.

This new software update for the Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+ brings the latest security patches released in October 2020 for better system security.

October 2020 Security Patch Details:

The October 2020 security update installs Android patches from Huawei and Google, fixing different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 21 high and 1 medium level of CVEs.

EMUI VERSION:

Huawei P40 series receiving the latest security patches with EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.162 upgrading from EMUI 10.1.0.155SP1/155SP2/160SP1. The update is currently rolling out for Chinese users.
