Huawei P40 series, Mate Xs and more enters in monthly and quarterly security update section
Earlier this year, Huawei introduced the latest flagship – Huawei P40 series, equipped with the latest hardware, camera, and pre-installed with EMUI 10.1.
Following the Huawei P40 series, Honor introduced the annual top-end lineup – Honor 30 series in April. These devices runs the latest Magic UI 3.1. Also, there’s the Huawei Nova 7 series that recently started making global appearances.
Now, Huawei has made some big changes in the latest reshuffling and addition to the device list of monthly and quarterly EMUI/Magic UI security updates section. Check the following.
New Devices:
Monthly:
Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+ made an entry in the monthly updates section alongside – Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro, Honor View30.
Quarterly:
The quarterly updates section now includes the Huawei Nova 7i, Nova 7 SE, Huawei P40 lite, P Smart Z, Huawei Y8s, Honor 30S, Honor 9X Pro and Honor 20S. Huawei MediaPad M6 8.4 and 10.8-inch models are also on the list.
Back in April, Huawei Mate 30 series made its entry in the monthly security update. On the other hand, the Honor 9X placed in the Quarterly section
In the past, Huawei has removed, Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20, and P20 Pro from the update cycles. These two older flagships currently receiving EMUI 10.0 around the globe.
