April update for Huawei P40 Series brings camera, display and security optimizations
Huawei P40 and P40 Pro have received three software updates in April. The update installed several improvements to the camera, system, and other important features to the Chinese models.
Now it’s time for the global models of the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro to upgrade on the latest firmware. Bringing some new improvements and optimizations for camera, display, settings, and security.
We’ve also noted that the camera improvements on this update are the same as the Chinese software version that rolled out last month. But it’s not confirmed whether it has received the AI 50MP mode.

Huawei P40 series APRIL UPDATE CHANGELOG:
Camera: Improves the quality of high-resolution photos. Optimizes the camera anti-jitter function, and improves the video recording experience.
Display: Optimises elements of the user interface on certain screens.
Settings: Adds Smart assistant to Settings.
Security: Integrates the Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security.
April 2020 security update includes patches from Google and brings fixes to 5 critical, 12 high, and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

EMUI VERSIONS:
Huawei P40 and P40 Pro receiving this update with EMUI version 10.1.0.121 and 122 in some countries with a package size of 1.14GB.
