Huawei P40 series and Mate 30 series getting HarmonyOS 4 optimizations update
Huawei is pushing a new software update for the Huawei P40 series and Mate 30 series smartphones running HarmonyOS 4 software and it brings several new feature optimizations for these two flagship phones in China.
The new firmware has HarmonyOS version 4.0.0.116/117 with a software downloadable package size of 1.13GB. It optimizes the display and live window feature. The firmware will also trigger user experience improvements for some pre-installed applications.
The new software has system and performance optimizations for a better overall experience. Last but not least, Huawei is sending October 2023 security patches for the corresponding devices. The latest HarmonyOS 4 feature optimizations update for Huawei P40 and Mate 30 series is rolling out in batches.
Following the launch of HarmonoyOS 4 in August, Huawei announced this upgrade for all of the past devices including P40 and Mate 30 series smartphones.
Subsequently, Huawei announced the beta program and enrolled these two device owners onboard. On the other hand, the Huawei P40 series and Mate 30 series have no eligibility to load EMUI 13 in the global market.
