Huawei P40 Pro receives new EMUI security patch in June 2024
Huawei is bringing a new EMUI patch for P40 Pro global users in June 2024. The latest rollout has significant security improvements and a few bug fixes for the old flagship model. Yet this release might disappoint the device owners to some extent.
The new update for Huawei P40 Pro in June brings the April 2024 security patch. The company has already served the respective package to this device last month with the 12.0.0.370 version.
Now Huawei is rolling out the same patch for P40 Pro with the EMUI 12.0.0.386 build. Users need to download a package of 371 MB to install the new firmware.
While the phone holders were looking forward to new optimizations, they had to currently settle with the April 2024 security improvements. Though this patch reduces the privacy risks and wipes out several vulnerabilities in your device’s system.
April 2024 patch resolves 3 critical, 8 high, and 3 medium-level CVEs in the security system. It also looks after harmful exploits found in the last software version. Thus, users get a more secure and stable device system with the latest EMUI update.
List of changes:
- This update improves system security by providing security patches.
- Security: Integrates security patches released in April 2024 for improved system security.
Huawei P40 Pro users still await a major upgrade amid monthly security rollouts. The device still works efficiently and manages heavy tasks without lags or interruptions. With a 7nm chip and better performance, the phone seems compatible with new EMUI versions.
Although the company has not given any big software treatment to this device after EMUI 12 upgrade. Yet we expect to see new enhancements for P40 Pro in the time ahead.
