Huawei P40 Pro prototype reveals quad cameras, design, interface and more

On March 26, 2020, Huawei will unveil its P40 series flagship including three different models of different configurations.

As recently, guys over Digital Trends got access to one of the P40 smartphones prototype and shared their hands-on pictures linked below.

The source didn’t confirm the device’s identity but according to the camera setup it is expected to be Huawei P40 Pro. While the regular P40 is expected to come with triple camera.

Prototype markings:

The prototype’s back has markings “POLARIE” at the bottom and “Blink” below the camera setup. These markings will be replaced with Huawei and Leica brandings respectively.

Design and interface:

The hands-on doesn’t contain front display pictures but reveals the whole rear side, featuring glass design that’s curved on both left and right edges. The design seems to be improved compared to the P30 Pro.

The color of the device uses a reflecting finish and seems to be inspired by its predecessor.

The interface:

Right Side: Physical volume adjustment buttons alongside a Power key.

Left Side: Remain plain

Bottom Side: USB Type-C port, Speaker Grills, SimCard Tray, Primary Mic (No, 3.5mm headphone jack)

Top Side: IR blaster, Secondary mic

Camera:

The camera bump in the back is placed vertically consisting of a Main camera, Ultrawide angle camera and Periscope camera (5X optical) at the bottom. The right side has an LED flash and a ToF depth sensor.

According to the previous reports, Huawei P40 Pro will come with a curved display panel with a dual punch-hole design. It’ll equip the flagship Kirin 990 processor, with EMUI 10 and HMS. There’s also a top model that’ll come with five rear cameras and 10X optical zoom.
