Huawei P40, Mate 30 series and Mate Xs gets November 2022 app optimizations [CN]
Huawei P40, mate 30 series, and Mate Xs foldable phones are receiving new software updates with November 2022 app optimizations for the phone’s user experience. This update aims to bring a new user experience but interestingly it’s rolling out under the beta testing phase.
These phones were placed in the second batch of HarmonyOS 3 beta activity and currently serving HarmonyOS 3 public beta. However, the new HarmonyOS 3 brings brand new additions to the above-mentioned device including better navigation, improved efficiency as well an option to orient the home screen.
The latest software update for Huawei P40, Mate 30, and Mate Xs models is getting November 2022 app optimizations with HarmonyOS 3 version 3.0.0.156 upgrading from HarmonyOS 3.0.0.154. However, users reported they have not received the new build.
Such software updates roll out in batches and expand gradually among device owners.
Earlier this month, Huawei hosted HDC 2022 event to launch a number of new technologies. Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO – Yu Chengdong revealed that HarmonyOS operating system has achieved over 320 million users.
Furthermore, the company revealed that HarmonyOS 4 will launch next year, while Huawei has launched HarmonyOS 3.1 which we may see in the upcoming Huawei P60 series next year.
Stable HarmonyOS 3:
Following the public beta testing, Huawei P40, Mate 30 series, and Mate Xs will be promoted with the stable rollout. Until then you can check all of the eligible models entitled to get the November 2022 app optimizations update.

Users of these phones are recommended to make a backup of important files and data to download the latest software update. To check for the latest software, open Settings > and proceed toward the System & updates section to fetch the server. Follow the on-screen instructions to download new firmware.
