Huawei P30 and P30 Pro getting a new update EMUI 9.1.0.186 with improved fingerprint scanner performance

Huawei is rolling out a big software update to its latest flagship smartphone series, Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro.

The software update version is EMUI 9.1.0.186 for the P30 and P30 Pro. This update optimizes the fingerprint unlocking performance and enhances the fingerprint unlocking experience.

Additionally, it improves the audio playback effect of some game scenes. This update also added the latest July 2019 security patch. It is currently available in China but will soon be available to other regions.

• Huawei P30 – ELE-AL00/ELE-TL00
• Huawei P30 Pro – VOG-AL00/ VOG-AL10/VOG-TL00

Note: This version is pushed in batches. The EMUI versions and update size may vary depending on the market and models.

If you want to check for the update manually you can do this by following the instruction below:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

If the update does not appear in the settings, we recommend you to request it via HiCare App:

Go to HiCare app > tap on Update > click on the checkbox and hit Apply.
