Huawei P20 lite receiving new smart features alongside July 2020 security update
Huawei P20 Lite comes pre-installed EMUI 8.0 out of the box and currently runs EMUI 9.1, users of this device have been waiting for EMUI 10 (Android 10) but Huawei has denied giving it the latest OS version.
Now, the Huawei P20 Lite users receiving a new software update, which brings some new smart features including the Smart Charge Battery Manager, Huawei Assistant as well as the latest security update. These features improve the phone’s performance and overall user experience.
Changelog:
Battery: Adds the Smart Charge mode, reducing battery aging by adapting to your charging routine through AI learning and preventing the battery from being continuously charged when full. (This feature is enabled by default.)
Adds the Smart Battery Capacity feature, reducing battery aging by intelligently adjusting the battery capacity according to the battery status. Go to Settings > Battery > More battery settings and enable Smart Battery Capacity to try it out.
Huawei Assistant Today: Adds Huawei Assistant to the home screen providing smart reminders, personalized news, and other content relevant to you.
Security: Integrates Android security patches released in July 2020 for improved system security.
Software Version:
July 2020 update for the Huawei P20 Lite comes with EMUI 9.1 version 9.1.0.355 and a software package size of 721MB.
