April EMUI update for Huawei P Smart 2019 brings Huawei Assistant and Smart Charge in Europe

Earlier today, we reported about the rollout of Huawei Assistant, Smart Charge, and April EMUI security for Huawei Y9s, and now these same features are expanding for Huawei P Smart 2019 in Europe.

Huawei P Smart 2019 users in Europe receiving a new update that installs smart features including Huawei Assistant, Smart Charge, and April 2020 Security patches for better system security. It’s recommended for users to download this update to experience the latest changes.

Huawei P Smart 2019 update Changelog:

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security.

Huawei Assistant: Adds Huawei Assistant to the home screen, providing smart reminders personalized news, and other content relevant to you.

Smart Charge: Not mentioned in the changelog but it’s included in the update.

Details:

Huawei Assistant: Huawei Assistant provides smart reminders, personalized news, and other content relevant to you. The assistant is accessible via the home screen.

Just swipe right on the home screen to access Huawei Assistant (or left if you are using a bi-directional language). Huawei Assistant can’t be accessed directly from AppGallery.

April 2020 Security: April 2020 security update includes patches from Google and brings fixes to 5 critical, 12 high, and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

Smart Charge: Preserve battery health by adapting to your charging routine. Charging may be paused to delay charging your device to 100% until needed.

Activate (default): Settings > Battery > More battery settings > Smart Charge.

Huawei Assistant, Smart Charge, and April EMUI security for Huawei P Smart 2019 come with EMUI version 10.0.0.187 upgrading from EMUI 10.0.0.179. This software update comes with a 0.96GB package size.
