Huawei opens its largest Global Cyber Security and Privacy Protection Transparency center
On June 9, 2021, Huawei has opened its largest cyber security and privacy protection transparency center in Dongguan, China. At the event, the company also announced the “Huawei Product Security Baseline” white paper that revealed the structure and administration exercises.
“Cyber security is more important than ever,” said Ken Hu, Huawei’s Rotating Chairman, at the opening of the Dongguan center. “As an industry, we need to work together, share best practices, and build our collective capabilities in governance, standards, technology, and verification. We need to give both the general public and regulators a reason to trust in the security of the products and services they use on a daily basis. Together, we can strike the right balance between security and development in an increasingly digital world.”
On this occasion, Huawei officials interacted with stakeholders such as consumers, suppliers, clients, and associated firms in the industry to find out their point of view on the subject.
Huawei believes that professional life, business partnership, and activities revolve around digital technology. But as we know everything has its own price and with the advancement in new technologies in the digital industry, privacy has also become more and more vulnerable.
In order to resolve this, Huawei started to take the action to establish connections and collaboration with stakeholders. So that the challenges of cybersecurity and privacy protection can be resolved using new innovations and better administration.
To be mentioned, the Huawei Global Cyber Security and Privacy Protection Transparency Center works in three aspects that include the following-

Furthermore, Huawei also welcomes global stakeholders including the clients, third-party testing organizations, and partners to be a part of it.
Apart from this, a previous report informed that Huawei is leading the Chinese optical market and focusing on an 800G transmission system. The company holds various optical modules, optical chips, and related products.
“This is the first time we’ve shared our security baseline framework with the entire industry, not just core suppliers,” said Sean Yang, Director of Huawei’s Global Cyber Security and Privacy Protection Office. “We want to invite all stakeholders, including customers, regulators, standards organizations, technology providers, and testing organizations, to join us in discussing and working on cybersecurity baselines. Together, we can continuously improve product security across the industry.”
