Huawei offline stores could discontinue Mate 60 Pro+/RS for Mate 70
Huawei could discontinue the high-end variants of the Mate 60 series (Pro+ and RS) to welcome the upcoming flagship lineup. The company is trying to make room for the new handsets on the shelves. Although there’s a catch in this piece of information.
A Weibo tipster said that Huawei will discontinue the Mate 60 Pro+/RS models in its offline stores. The authoritative retail shops will remove the previous-gen Mate devices from the shelf following the Mate 70 series launch.
Other than these phones, the company will also wipe Hi Enjoy 70 Pro, the Watch D, and FreeBuds Pro 3 out of its stores. But don’t worry, you can still buy them.
The tipster reveals that the above-mentioned devices will still be available in online stores. Consumers can purchase these smartphones, wearables, as well as earbuds from e-commerce platforms like VMall, JD.com, and other online authoritative stores.
Huawei offline stores often perform this “delisting of devices” for newbies. It helps them to confine consumers’ attention to the latest flagship rather than old ones.
Thus, you can still purchase the Mate 60 Pro+ and RS Ultimate Design even after the Mate 70 series launch. However, you need to opt for online shopping in this case.
Further input reveals that the Standard Mate 60 and Pro versions will still be available in Huawei offline stores for purchase. The company hasn’t confirmed this news yet. Though we may hit the accurate details in the upcoming days.
Huawei Mate 70 series will go live next week. The company’s senior official Richard Yu has shown the Mate 70 Pro+ design in his recent WeChat clips. The device is wrapped in a beautiful Gold Silk and Silver Brocade color and has a shimmery look.
Some teasers, on the other hand, hint that the flagship lineup will bring many dynamic AI features on board. Just three more days and we will have the first official glance at the long-awaited Mate 70 series.
