Huawei officially teases the first triple foldable – Mate XT

Huawei today officially teased its first triple-foldable smartphone named – the Mate XT Ultimate Design. With a new device, the company assures to open a new chapter of innovation for consumers with glorious features and advanced capabilities.

We’re just a few days away from the Huawei tri-fold launch and the OEM has shared a teaser to anticipate the unveiling. This teaser doesn’t reveal much about the new device. Yet, it confirms the name of the world’s first triple-foldable to an extent.

“Extraordinary products, open a new chapter!

The Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business Group – Yu Chengdong has reposted this teaser. He wrote the caption – let’s welcome a new member of the Extraordinary Master (Ultimate Design) brand – the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design.

Looking into the teaser, Huawei only confirmed the name of its new device. The teaser doesn’t highlight the design or any other specifics of the tri-fold smartphone.

Mate XT Ultimate Design

The Chinese phone maker announced the “Ultimate Design” brand last year. It’s specifically designed for premium and luxury devices. The brand sits at the top of flagship products and has two models: Mate 60 RS and Watch Ultimate Design.

After a premium phone and satellite watch, Huawei is adding the first triple-foldable: Mate XT in this category. This further implies the company may launch a base version of the tri-fold in the future. An official confirmation awaits on this matter.

Huawei Tri-Fold

The company has significantly worked on its upcoming foldable’s crease and durability aspects. It has used new techs to control thickness, a reliable UTG display solution, and a HarmonyOS operating system – as per previous revelations.

With such capabilities, the tri-fold phone will likely defeat many rivals like the Galaxy Z Fold series in the market. Being a 10-inch folding phone, it will also deliver a tablet-like experience when unfolded, edging out iPad and other competitors.
