Huawei officially listed Kirin 9000S1/9010 chip with global Pura 70 series
Huawei has introduced the Pura 70 series in the global market starting its pre-order in Malaysia and the company also listed its new processors – Kirin 9000S1/9010 officially. The OEM has stamped the chip name for the first time on its website.
The tech maker started warming up the Pura 70 models this morning and aligned them on the shelves for pre-order. Although the global website doesn’t reveal any details regarding the processors, one can check the new add-on at the Huawei Malaysia site.
Even though the company has not detailed the Kirin 9000S1/9010 processor for the Huawei Pura 70 lineup, the description reads that it is an octa-core chip.
After the China launch, this was the first time when Huawei officially listed the Kirin 9010 and 9000S1 processors on its website. A few early inputs revealed that the Chinese Pura 70 units also run on the same chips (standard = Kirin 9000S1, other models = Kirin 9010)
You can check the core architecture below:
- Kirin 9000S1 – 2 x 2.49GHz + 6 x 2.15GHz + 4 x 1.53GHz
- Kirin 9010 – 2 x 2.3GHz + 6 x 2.18GHz + 4 x 1.55GHz
It is worth mentioning that despite the 12-core architecture, the chip is still an octa-core variant. Here, the increased core is the result of hyperthreading tech.
Huawei has still not announced these chips on its home ground. Although the global listing of the Pura 70 series has officially confirmed that the company has developed new chips for the recently launched Pura 70 smartphones.
