Huawei obtained patent for eye-control headset

On May 10, Huawei authorized several patents related to headset display devices. In the latest edition, Huawei has obtained a new patent entitled “method for controlling a display screen and head-mounted electronic device based on eye focus” in China.

As per the information, Huawei eye-control headset patent technology can save power consumption and the impact of images on real-world viewing can be reduced.

On the other hand, the Chinese tech maker has recently published a patent for a Smart eye mask, which could be used to detect and monitor epilepsy. Read more

Huawei eye-control headset patent description:

The patent discloses the technology of controlling the display screen according to eyeball focus and a headset device. The head-mounted device has a display screen, which is transparent when the display is turned on and off.

The methods include: The image is displayed on the display screen, and the focus of the user’s eyeball is within the range of the first distance. For a period longer than or equal to the first period, the display screen is turned off when it is detected that the user’s eyeball focus is not within the first distance range.

By implementing the current application method, the power consumption can be saved, and the influence of images on real-world viewing can be reduced.
