Huawei Nova Y70 gets September 2023 security

Huawei is improving the Nova Y70 smartphone’s security with a new software release, which installs the latest security patches published in the month of September 2023. The update is rolling out in batches and may take some time to release for all users.

Meanwhile, our tipster has received this rollout in Peru and the company has tagged the phone’s release with EMUI version 12.0.0.248. You will have to download an update package size of 246 megabytes.

The phone offers EMUI 12 out of the box and its name is not mentioned in the EMUI 13 upgrade roadmap. However, we’ll wait for more information on this matter and keep all of the Nova Y70 users posted.

Meanwhile, Huawei Nova Y70 users can download the September 2023 security update by entering the Settings. The phone will restart after the update installation is completed. The downloaded update package will be deleted once the update installs concludes successfully.
