Huawei Nova Y61 gets new software update with security fixes

Huawei is sending a new software update for the Huawei Nova Y61 smartphone bringing fixes for issues found in the features led by past builds.

Launched in 2022, the Huawei Nova Y61 is a budget smartphone featuring a 6.52-inch screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution.

The phone packs a triple camera system including a 50MP main with f/1.8 aperture and a 4cm Macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The camera system consists of a depth camera with f/2.4 aperture to take bokeh shots.

The front side of the phone features a 5mp f/2.2 aperture camera. It packs a large 5000mAh battery that could recharge with a 22.5W superfast charger.

However, the phone still runs the EMUI 12 operating system. This new upgrade could be a better improvement for the users and comes with EMUI 12.0.0.173 with 288 megabytes.

The changelog of this rollout only comes with February 2024 security patches.
