Huawei Nova Flip featuring square cover screen goes on first sale

It’s August 9th, and Huawei Nova Flip goes live on its first sale featuring a unique square cover screen and various exciting parameters. The new vertical foldable is available on the official VMall shopping channel with a useful power adapter offering.

Huawei Nova Flip comes in four pretty colors: Grass Green (the star shade), Cherry Blossom Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black. All these options have different phone cases and beautiful mini bags to go with. You can check these accessories HERE.

Other than colors, Huawei Nova Flip is available in three storage variants on its first sale. Users can choose from these options based on their data storage capacity.

Specifications:

The most highlighting feature of the new folding phone is its square cover display. It’s the first Huawei clamshell with a 1:1 and comparatively large external screen.

Nova Flip sports a 6.94-inch OLED main display with a resolution of 2690 x 1136 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the rear external screen measures 2.14-inch with a 480 x 480 pixels resolution. Both panels support 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and 300Hz touch sampling rate.

The device brings a two-lens structure on the rear side placed vertically on a huge rectangular frame. It has a 50MP RYYB main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 112-degree angle. The lens also supports a 10x digital zoom, 2cm macro, and more.

For the front side, the company has punched-hole a 32MP selfie lens at the center. Huawei has used the “Da Vinci Portrait Engine 2.0” to deliver vibrant and impressive selfies. It allows you to set interval time and click various shots at different angles.

Nova Flip packs a 4400mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. In terms of the software, the device comes with HarmonyOS 4.2 out of the box and brings various AI capabilities for the cover screen and the overall system to offer an efficient experience.
