Huawei Nova Flip camera, display, and battery specs leaked before launch
Huawei Nova line is entering a new stage with a clamshell product and some of the key specs of the upcoming Flip foldable have leaked online. The latest input is arriving before the new folding device gets official and steps onto the consumer platform.
Tip coming from @DigitalChatStation has now shared the Huawei Nova Flip foldable main specifications including camera, display, and battery. However, the tipster didn’t collaborate from the price side. For that, we have to wait till the official launch.
As per the leaked specs, the Huawei Nova Flip holds a dual camera setup on the rear side. The arrangement includes a 50MP 1/1.56-inch main camera sensor (f/1.9 aperture) and an 8MP ultra-wide angle shooter with a 2 cm super macro capability.
The 50MP main camera runs on the RYYB principle. Huawei has used this lens filter for many P-series flagship models to date. It replaces the green pixel with a yellow one to allow red and green light to come through and improve the shooting effect.
RYYB technology further increases the light intake by up to 40% more than any RGGB filter. Hence, users may observe enhanced photography in low-light scenarios.
Nova Flip will likely use a 32MP selfie camera on the front side. Unlike, the Pocket 2 which has a 10.7MP front lens, the company has adopted a huge sensor for the upcoming foldable. Although, all three camera sensors are currently unknown.
The leaked details reveal that Nova Flip uses a 4400mAh battery with a 66W charging capacity. It has two major design variants: plain leather and glass panel. The former has a folded state of 15.08mm (unfolded at 6.88mm) with 195 grams of weight.
Whereas, the latter folds on 15.12mm and unfolds on 6.9mm with 199 grams of weight. It is powered by a Kirin 9 series 5G chip. Some previous revelations say that the device could use the Kirin 9010E chipset to offer a boosting performance to users.
Coming to the display, the Huawei Nova Flip uses a 6.94-inch LTPO main screen with a 2690 x 1136 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen measures 2.14-inch (OLED panel) and supports a 60Hz refresh rate.
Huawei Nova Flip could attract consumers with its unique square cover screen. The tipster highlights certain enhancements for the large external screen such as a call-fun display, efficient home screen, mini-games, and live window support.
Consumers will be able to perform certain tasks, play games, and get real-time status of some applications and online services. The screen details have already appeared via a few live images. But the latest leak adds more details to it.
Huawei Nova Flip is up for official reservations. Users can pre-order the device with a deposit of 100 yuan while the complete pre-sale procedure will begin on August 5.
