Huawei Nova 9 May 2022 EMUI update rolling out in Europe

Huawei Nova 9 smartphone users received the May 2022 security patch in Middle Asia earlier this month. Now, the company has started expanding the May 2022 EMUI security update for Huawei Nova 9 consumers in Europe.

New information about the update reveals that the May 2022 EMUI update for Huawei Nova 9 in Europe is rolling out with EMUI 12 build number 12.0.1.242 (C432E2R1P2). Therefore, to obtain the latest firmware, the corresponding device owners have to download the software package of 408 Megabytes.

Although, the changelog only highlights the updated security patch to May 2022. Yet, users must note that the fresh patch brings multiple fixes for the device. It mends 1 critical, 14 high, and 16 medium levels of vulnerabilities of the smartphone system.

Apart from the CVEs, the new security patch also brings enhancements to the internal firmness of the device and improves the functioning management. Thus, to enjoy a stable and lag-free system, we recommend you install the update at the earliest.

Before you upgrade:

• Ensure to take a backup of your important data beforehand.
• Use a standard connection to download the software package.
• Maintain enough battery and storage on your device.

For installing the update, visit the Settings menu. Further, scroll down and select the System & Updates, and head to the Software Updates option. Tap on the Check for Updates and wait for the device to complete its hunt for new firmware.

To the available update, hit the Download & Install button, and reboot it once. Also, do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation gets started.
