Huawei Nova 8 SE receiving first software update with optimization for calling experience
Huawei Nova 8 SE has started getting the first software update running on EMUI 10.1. This update mainly improves the communication experience.
On November 5, Huawei has launched the Nova 8 SE for Chinese consumers in two variants. The Nova 8 SE comes with 3D-design and powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 and 800U processors, 3800mAh battery, 66W fast charging, and more.

Aside from this, Huawei is expanding EMUI 11 beta testing program for more devices in more regions and soon releases a stable EMUI 11 version for global users. Moreover, Nova 8 SE is a newly launched device so, it may receive EMUI 11 major updates in the future.
Note:
- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data.
HOW TO UPDATE:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
